Closings announced

City and county offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for Christmas and on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, for New Year's Day. All area school will be dismissed Friday afternoon for the holidays. Whitehead Enterprises, the Cherokeean Herald and Radio Station KTLU-KWRW will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24-25.

In addition to the Dec. 24- 26 and Jan. 1 holidays, Rusk City Hall will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 21.

The city bus will not run during these dates and times. Also, John Williams, driver, has announced that he will be off on Wednesday, Dec. 19 and Monday, Dec. 31. Therefore the bus will not run on those days. He wishes all of his passengers a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
