Tim Timmons introduced Rusk ISD Assistant Band Director, Mike Kellog, who present the Dec. 13 program. Mr. Kellog played "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Carol of the Bells," "Frosty the Snowman," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "Let It Snow," "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Sleigh Ride" on the trumpet.

Guests at the meeting were Lucy Horton and Alicia Oliver.

President Vic Whadford said White Cane Day will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008.

A letter has been received from the Rusk Volunteer Fire Department asking for a donation from the Lions Club. The club does participate in that event each year and also gave $280 to the Rusk Dream Tree this season.

A Lufkin woman, Mona Wintery, is facing her third brain surgery. Surgery is planned soon after the first of the year and she has no health insurance. Since becoming ill she lost her job and health insurance. Baylor Hospital has agreed to do the surgery on a charity basis, but first she must come up with $1,500 for the MRI.

Box 115, Maydelle 75772. Ms. Wintery is the granddaughter of Mozelle Langston of Maydelle and the niece of Ms. Coker and Harold and Jane Langston, all of Maydelle.
