The Rusk Seventh Day Adventist Church will host a free community holiday meal from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. Rusk area citizens are invited to join the congregation in this special meal.

Jacksonville announces early dismissal times for

Dec. 21

Students in the Jacksonville ISD will be dismissed early Friday, Dec. 21.

The schedule is elementary students, buses will run at noon; Jacksonville Middle School, buses will run at 12:15 p.m.; Jacksonville High School and the Nichols Intermediate School, buses will run at 12:30 p.m. Interested persons may contact the Compass Center for time for bus runs and dismissal.

Lon Morris College has begun enrollment for a wide range of highly interactive continuing education courses taken entirely over the Internet. These courses will include everything from creating web pages to accounting, Spanish to grant writing, medical terminology to real estate. All courses include an instructor and are enrolling now for $99 per course.
