Dream Tree Names of children and nursing home residents are on dream trees at all Rusk financial institutions and car dealerships. Names of children can be selected until Dec. 14. However, if gifts are to be taken to the chamber of commerce office they must there be by Dec. 12. Toys may be left at Brookshire Brothers and Dollar General. Gifts will be distributed Saturday, Dec. 15 at the chamber's Day with Santa at Jim Hogg City Park. Persons wishing to help with refreshments may donate cookies. Cedar rocker raffle will benefit senior finale The Rusk High School senior class is taking donations, for a drawing for an indoor/outdoor cedar rocking chair. Proceeds from the raffle will help pay for the senior finale, which will be held following graduation in May. Donations are $1 and there is no limit on the number of donations that a person may make. To obtain tickets, mail checks payable to RHS Class of '08 to Cedar Rocker, 405 Gifford St., Rusk 75785. Tickets will be mailed to the donor. The drawing will be Dec. 20. |
