HERBERT JEWELL JAYROE

Herbert Jewell Jayroe, 81, died Nov. 30. He was born Nov. 20, 1926. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park and his family will celebrate his life at a private family gathering.

He was preceded in death by his parents: J.H. and Cora Jayroe; one brother, Lowell A. Jayroe; and two sisters, Naomi Woodruff and Hazel Coggins.

Survivors are a sister-in-law, Frances Acker Jayroe and nieces and nephews, Pam Lake, Karen McDaniel, Tim Jayroe and Rodney Jayroe.

Due to a childhood illness, Mr. Jayroe, known to his family as "Uncle Herbie," was said to be forever young, keeping the child alive in all of his family.
