FINNIEGENE NORWOOD

Graveside service for Finniegene Norwood, 80, of San Antonio was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Robby Arrington officiating. Mrs. Norwood died Nov. 23. She was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Rusk to F.C. and Jewel Clayton Norman.

Mrs. Norwood was a resident of San Antonio for one year formerly of Rusk. She was a member of Rusk Church of Christ. She retired in 1986 from Rusk State Hospital after 40 years.

Preceding her in death were her husband J.H. (Hemby) Norwood in 2002. She is survived by one son, Jay Norwood of San Antonio; a daughter, Sara Woodruff of Jacksonville; stepdaughter, Ann Counts of Mt. Pleasant; special friend, Sam Lee of San Antonio, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
