Veterans Day program was big success in Alto

On behalf of Alto ISD, I would like to thank everyone who helped put on our Veteran's Day program last Monday. It was, indeed, a "team" effort. The program was coordinated by the AHS Student Council, led by sponsor Sue Zane Robinson.

First and foremost, we want to thank our veterans who served our country and their families.

The VFW provides many services for these men and women, and also provided poppies for us to wear. Our band, FFA chapter, athletic department, cheerleaders and faculty and staff provided invaluable assistance.

The luncheon provided by the cafeteria staff for our honorees and their family members was wonderful, and the elementary students' decorations and songs were much appreciated.

Thanks also to Chris Davis for "calling the roll."

We look forward to an even bigger and better appreciation ceremony next year.
