SWEETIE BELLE RUFUS

Funeral for Sweetie Belle Rufus, 94, of Rusk, was at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hebron Columbium Presbyterian Church with Claudell Anderson officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Mrs. Rufus died Nov. 10. She was born June 26, 1913, in Rusk and attended Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and member of Mount Hebron Columbium Presbyterian Church and East Texas Council of Governors, Community Action Program and Elderly Nutrition Program. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Bobby Donnell Christopher, Travis Sanders, Alver Dee Sessions, Walter Session, Ronnie Ragsdale and Derrick McDuff.Honorary pallbearers were William Taylor III, William Taylor IV, Colquitt Sanders, Greg McDuff, Christian McDuff and Claudell Anderson. Arrangements were under the direction of Mercy/ McGowan Funeral Home.
