Sheriff's office investigates arson in Gallatin Four suspects were arrested and arraigned Nov. 8 for suspicion of setting a Gallatin home on fire with "Molotov cocktails." The Cherokee County Sheriff's office arrested Judith Clydean Cooper, 18, Paul Daniel Cooper, 21, Christopher Louis Kowalski, 18, all of Jacksonville and Rowdy Shane McAnally, 19, of Stanton. Investigators believe the incident began when Juan Casteneda, 18, broke up with his girlfriend, Miss Cooper. "Tensions rose as parties of both sides became involved in incidents resulting in the intervention of the Jacksonville Police Dept.," said Lt. Chris White, chief investigator. The fires were set Oct. 30 at Mr. Casteneda's home. Bond was set at $50,000 for each of the four arrested. |
