Coats for Kids program

underway in Rusk

Women at the Rusk Church of Christ are busy getting ready for the Dec. 1 distribution of Rusk Coats for Kids. Good used and new coats may be left at the church annex from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Sizes especially needed are womens 6, 8, 10 and 12.

Tickets go on sale

for Christmas

production

Patron tickets go on sale Nov. 19 for the Cherokee Civic Theatre's Christmas production of "The Silent Bell" by William McKellar. Tickets for the general public will be offered for sale beginning Nov. 26.

Advance tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets at the door are $10. Reservations may be made by calling (903) 683-2131.

The production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 7 and 8 and 2 p.m. Dec. 2 and 9. Laura Cunningham is director.

The cathedral's bell has not rung in 100 years, waiting for the perfect gift to be presented to the Christ Child. The question has been asked if Anna Marie's gift will be the one to break the silence with the sounds of joy.

JoEd Anderson is

business of the month

The Rusk Chamber of Commerce will salute JoEd Anderson Real Estate as business of the month.

The presentation will be made today at 10 a.m. at 527 N. Main St. on the square in Rusk. Newspaper prints

early next week

News and advertising should be submitted to the Cherokeean Herald for the next issue by Friday, Nov. 16 at 3

p.m.

The newspaper will be printed and

distributed next

Tuesday instead of Wednesday.

"Because the post

office is closed Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving, we decided to print the newspaper a day early so our subscribers will receive the newspaper before Thanksgiving," said Marie Whitehead, editor.

The newspaper office is located at 618 N. Main St. in Rusk. The office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22.
