Bowfire attenders
Among Rusk students attending Bowfire at the University of Texas at Tyler Oct. 25 were Billie Jean Langston, Destiny Jared and Kylie Delaney. More than 120 Rusk students and nine teachers attended the Bowfire "Arts in Education" series. Bowfire takes its audience on a musical journey that moves from jazz, classical, bluegrass, celtic, rock, gypsy, world, Texas swing and Otawa Valley and Cape Breton styles. It mixes step and tap dancing and voices. Used in the production are pianos/keyboards, bass, drums/percussion, guitars and cello. Bowfire was formed in June 2000 in Hannover, Germany. It came to America in the summer of 2001.
