FLORA ESTELLE SUDBURY BOYD

Funeral for Flora Estelle Sudbury Boyd, 93, of Jacksonville, was at 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church, Corine, with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial was in Corine Cemetery.

Mrs. Boyd died Oct. 16. She was born Nov. 10, 1913, in Marlin, to J.E. and Annie Collins Sudbury. She retired from Discount City and Central Baptist Church Nursery. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles J. Boyd, Sr. in 1980.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles J. and Patsy Boyd, Jr. of Jacksonville and Glenn Weldon Boyd of the Dominican Republic; two grandchildren and spouses Blair Boyd and Dana Upchurch of Jacksonville and Eric and Kim Boyd of Highlands; great-grandchildren, Pvt. Terry Upchurch, U.S. Army, Bagdad and Matt Upchurch of Crockett; nieces and nephews and special friends, Peggy Chitwood, and Philip Warren. Pallbearers were Eric Boyd, Dana Upchurch, Gerald Gray, Lewie Lake, Johnny Chitwood and Don Walker. Honorary Pallbearer was Jack Tarrant. Autry Funeral Home was in charge.
