Accident at 7th and Main

Rusk volunteer firefighters work to rescue Melba Calvery, driver of this 2006 Chrystler Sebring after her car collided with a 1985 Chevy El Camino, driven by Jay Lawrence, on the corner of Seventh and Main streets in Rusk Tuesday morning. The accident had traffic on Main Street reduced to one lane. The collision occurred as Mr. Lawrence was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto seventh street. Mrs. Calvery was transported to Trinity Mother Francis in Jacksonville, but had no serious injuries. PHOTO: TARA CROSBY
