Randall Bonner will run for Pct. 3 commissioner

Randall Bonner of Mount Selman has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Commissioner Precinct 3.

Mr. Bonner is the son of Charlotte Bonner and the late Rev. Paul Bonner. He is the single parent of Chad Bonner, a 14- year-old Jacksonville High School student.

He is a 1980 graduate of Jacksonville High School and a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church, where his father pastored for 30 years. He also attends the Mount Selman United Methodist Church.

Mr. Bonner has been the owner and operator of Bonner Excavating for 11 years. He is training his son, Chad, in becoming a successful businessman.

The youngster operates his own lawn care service. He pays for his lawn mowers and takes care of the everyday business needs.

"I know how to build roads and have worked for some time in highway construction. I know about road materials and how to build a good road. And, I also know how to run a business," Mr. Bonner said.

"I would like to get the community involved in helping with trouble spots. I would like for the community to help in cleaning up Precinct 3. I want to utilize community service workers in doing this," he added.

Mr. Bonner said if elected he will support buying local raw materials. "I will try to do more for the community for less money."
