ORLIE J. BAKER

Memorial service for Orlie J. Baker, 83, of Jacksonville was at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.

Mr. Baker died Oct. 1. He was born in Clarkton, Mo. and grew up in Memphis, Tex. He worked in the finance and banking industry in Houston prior to moving to Jacksonville in 1989. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the 449th Bomb Group, 15th Army Air Corps. He served during World War II.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Jeanne K. Baker of Jacksonville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Becky Baker of Kennard and Jan and Jim Ott of Troup; a son, frank Baker of Garland; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made t the American Cancer Society or Hospice of East Texas. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
