LEWIS NICHOLS Graveside service for Lewis Webber Nichols, 68, of Jacksonville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Dr. Faulk Landrum officiating. Mr. Nichols died Sunday, Oct. 7. He was born in Houston April 9, 1939, to Talley and Ruth Bowling Nichols. Mr. Nichols was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville. He was a member of the Jacksonville High School Class of 1957. He served in the U. S. Marines, and served as vicepresident of TallyHo Plastics. He was a sixth degree blackbelt and had been an instructor in Jacksonville. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lewis W. Nichols of Dallas and Eric and Ree Nichols, with the U.S. Military; two daughters, Amanda Nichols of Ft. Worth and Nicki Nichols of Atlanta Ga.; his mother, Ruth Nichols of Jacksonville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Talley James Nichols of Jacksonville, Robert and Donna Nichols of Jacksonville and Dwight Dee and Laura Jean Nichols of Garland; two sisters and brothers in-law, Penny and Kenneth Sanders of Tyler and Susan and Richard Gonzalez of Las Cruces, N.M.; two grandchildren, Rene Nichols of California and Taka Nichols, Japan. Honorary pallbearers will be James Nichols, Robert Nichols, Dwight Nichols, Richard Gonzalez, George Henry Clark and Adam L. Adams. Visitation will be noon-9 p.m. Wednesday at Autry Funeral Home. |
