Cocaine, marijuana confiscated, 2 arrested

Rusk Police, assisted by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, confiscated 22 grams of cocaine, more than five ounces of marijuana and packaging material and scales in Rusk Friday morning.

Assistant Chief Roy Cavazoz said, Cabrina Mae Session, 36, and Belvis Singletary, 31, were arrested at a residence on U.S. Highway 69 north of the Rusk city limits.

Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a first degree felony and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a state jail felony.

They were arraigned before Judge Teresa Phifer and bail was set at $32,000.

Ms. Session posted bail and was released; Mr. Singletary remains in jail.
