Surviving a disaster workshop planned

A workshop to help businesses survive a major disaster is planned for noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Norman Activity Center, 526 Commerce St., Jacksonville.

Goals will be defined and plans for procedure discussed.

The agenda include project management, facility documentation, business impact analysis, alternatives, emergency response, evaluation and implementation and maintenance of plan.

Upon completion of the event, area businesses should have resources to prepare for their own recovery.

Those attending may bring a lunch or purchase a lunch for $5. Optional CDs will be available for $10. The event is sponsored by the Community Emergency Response Team of Cherokee County.
