Benefit dinner planned Oct. 6 at Methodist Church

A Jambala dinner to benefit David Mitchell, Rusk cancer victim, is planned from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Rusk First United Methodist Church. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased from DeeDee Rigsby by e-mail cdrigs1@ peoplepc.com. The meal includes Jambala and desserts provided by the Sweet Shoppe and Daily Grind, Rusk businesses.

Proceeds will go to Mr. Mitchell, who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and has no insurance.

There will a blood drive that same day beginning at 11 a.m.
