Auditions scheduled for Christmas production

Cherokee Civic Theatre will conduct auditions for "The Silent Bells" at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 and 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8.

Director Laura Cunningham said there are singing and non-singing roles for men, women and several children (ages eight and older). Inspired by the book by William MacKellar, "The Silent Bells" is a holiday musical about a young girl seeking the right present for the Christ Child which will awaken the cathedral's bells. With a timely message about the true gifts of Christmas, "The Silent Bells" will be an enjoyable experience for families of all ages, both off and on stage.
