Fund-raiser planned for civil war era group

The Cross of Saint Andrew SCV Camp #2009 will fire a rifle volley at 9 a.m. Oct. 13 to officially launch the Pioneer and Heritage Festival at Jim Hogg City Park.

The group will sponsor an information booth during the festival, and Southern Belles will host a bake sale and sell raffle tickets for a $200 gift certificate to Wal-Mart.
