ET Historical Commission meets Sept. 27-29

The East Texas Historical Association will conduct its 47th annual meeting at Hotel Fredonia in Nacogdoches Sept. 27-29. The meeting begins Thursday evening, Sept. 27, with the annual Georgiana and Max Lale Lecture, presented this year by William Seale, historical restorationist, speaking on "An Historian's Pursuit of the White House." President Dan Utley, chief historian for the Texas Historical Commission, will preside at a meeting of the board of directors Sept. 27 and at its business meeting Sept. 29. Mr. Utley's presidential address, titled "Steve Allen Never Picked Cotton In Texas," will be presented Friday evening.
