OPAL I. THOMPSON Graveside service for Opal I. Thompson, 95, of Tyler, formerly of the Corinth community near Jacksonville was at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Jarratt Cemetery with the Rev. James Blaylock officiating. Mrs. Thompson died Sept. 1. She was born Jan. 8, 1912, in Dialville. She worked for 30 years at Marja Brassiere Co. and Henson-Kickernick. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Frazier Thompson; a daughter, Norma Cupp; and two granddaughters, Laurie Ann Thompson and Sarah Kathryn Thompson. Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Carol Thompson of Tyler; four grandchildren, Don Cupp of Tyler, Jean Cupp of Hartley, Traci Wilson of Conway, Ark. and Lisa Dodd and husband, Greg of Rockton, Ill; eight greatgrandchildren, Caroline Dodd, Alex Dodd, Colin Dodd and Kylie Dodd, all of Rockton, Will Wilson of Conway. Kayla Wilson of Hot Springs, Ark., Andrew Waldson of Arlington and Angie Gallaway and husband, Jonathan of Fort Worth; greatgrandson, Peyton Chandler Gallaway of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
