Rusk council meets Thursday

The Rusk City Council will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at city hall to consider a 22 item agenda.

The agenda includes approval of the budget, setting the tax rate and approval of water and sewer rates for local customers, as well as Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Rusk State Hospital. The council will discuss 911 addressing, timber thinning, street repairs, employee personnel policy amendments and utility write-offs. An executive session is planned to discuss possible litigation involving the city's responsibility of street maintenance.
