A jambalaya dinner is planned for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Tickets are $5 each. Tickets may be purchased from DeeDee Rigsby at (903) 683-1995.

A fireproof gun and money safe will be raffled off on Nov. 3. The safe is 5X3 feet and weighs approximately 70 pounds. It will hold 12 rifles, titles, insurance papers, mad money and other important things. There are two keys, one for the door and one for the safe. Neither will unlock the other. It can be bolted to the wall in a closet or in the living room. Raffle tickets are $1 each.

The cancer victim is a 41-year-old man with a wife and two daughters. He has been given approximately 10 months to live.

The family has no insurance. Persons wishing to purchase a raffle ticket may contact DeeDee Rigsby at (903) 683-1995 or cdrigs@aol.com.
