MARY FRANCES PATCH BEARD

Mary Frances Patch Beard, age 84, of Jacksonville, died Aug. 28. The eighth child of the Rev. Wesley Fletcher Patch and Lillie Mae Baisden Patch, she was born on July 3, 1923 in Knox County, Tenn.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Strong and Susan Jamail of Jacksonville and Cathryn Cooke of Texarkana, Tex.; grandchildren, Timothy Ewing of Houston, Leah Herrington of Honeygrove, Curtis Cooke and Brian Jamail of San Antonio; great-grandchildren; Emma and Mary Annalise Herrington, Lauren, Brady and Evan Jamail, Madeleiene Ewing and Avery Cooke. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marvin Beard.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel.
