JOEL GLEN ZEILMAN SR.

Funeral for Joel Glen Zeilman Sr., 48, of Maydelle, was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home with the Rev. Buck Newsom officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Zeilman died Aug. 23. He was born Aug. 27, 1958, in Streator, Ill., and had lived in the Maydelle area since 1993, moving there from Fort Worth. He was a member of Long Point Christian Church in Illinois, and a former diesel mechanic.

He was preceded in death by son, Joel Glen Zeilman Jr., one niece and one great-nephew.

Survivors include a son, Nicholas Ryan Zeilman of Aviano Air Force Base, Italy; two daughters, Amber Leigh Zelman of Tyler and Ashlei Nicole Zeilman of Rusk; his parents, Robert Ray and Frances Dee Byrd Zeilman of Varna, Ill.; four brothers, Terry Zeilman of Las Vegas, Nev., Daniel Zeilman of Palestine, Steven Zeilman of Maydelle, William Zeilman of Long Point, Ill., Michael Zeilman of Springfield, Ill; two sisters, Kathryn Pillash of Piedmont, Ala., and Karen Berta of Varna, Ill.; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were nephews, Mark, Matthew and Jeremy Zeilman, Joshua Pillash and Jacob Berta and Mike Rogers.
