Lindy Spurgers, ETMC emergency medical technician, consoles Alex Jones of Rusk after Alex's school bus was sideswiped Aug. 28. The bus was struck by a late-model Ford sedan driven by Elizabeth Burfoot of Rusk. Mrs. Burfoot was southbound on Main Street in Rusk when she attempted to make a Uturn. Her vehicle struck the side of the southbound bus. Mrs. Burfoot said she did not see the bus coming.
