Pork barrel spending

U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling of Dallas said Aug. 15 he supports legislation to end earmark spending (pork barreling). He met with constituents in the Cherokee County courtroom to outline his efforts to combat earmarks inserted into spending bills by individual lawmakers to benefit specific, limited numbers of people. He said he is one of 16 House members who voted for all 50 (antipork) amendments last year.
