Jones leads electric group Greg Jones, general manager of Cherokee County Electric Cooperative Association, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of Texas Electric Cooperatives. The statewide organization serves 74 electric cooperatives in Texas. He was elected to the position Aug. 1 during the organization's 67th annual membership meeting in Austin. Mr. Jones has been general manager of the Cherokee County ECA since 1998. A Texas A&M University graduate, he worked for FESCO Inc. before joining the co-op as an engineer in 1988. He and his wife, Angela Renea and their 17-year-old daughter, Tori, reside in Jacksonville. The Cherokee County Rural Elective Cooperative serves 17,912 connected meters in portions of Cherokee, Nacogdoches, Rusk and Smith counties. |
