Kellie Wilcox is new credit union CEO

Kellie Wilcox is the new CEO at Cherokee County Teachers Federal Credit Union in Rusk. Mrs. Wilcox was appointed to the position by the credit union board on Aug. 1.

She has served as interim manager since Larry Long resigned in March to accept a position with Austin Bank.

She grew up in the Concord community and graduated from Carlisle High School and Tyler Junior College.

Mrs. Wilcox has been employed at the credit union for the past eight years. She began work there shortly after her marriage to Jason Wilcox. They reside in New Summerfield. She is an active volunteer in both Rusk and New Summerfield.

Mr. Wilcox is an agriculture teacher at Rusk High School. He is a member of the New Summerfield ISD board of trustees, the New Summerfield Volunteer Fire Department board and the Go Texan Committee.

The Wilcoxes are in the cattle business.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox are parents of a three-year-old son, Paden. The family attends church at the Church of Christ in Gallatin.
