Rusk Storm defeats Moody 12-4

The Rusk Storm won the TTA Machine Pitch State Championship with a 12-4 win over the Moody Raiders July 26. The Rusk Storm capped off a banner year by winning the state TTA Machine Pitch baseball tournament July 26 in Texarkana. Rusk went undefeated in the tournament before beating the Moody Raiders 12-4 in the finals.

The Storm cruised through the regular season with an undefeated record before winning the district tournament over the Rusk Diamondbacks. That victory marked the Storm's second consecutive district title.

The Storm celebrated their state title with a ride in a fire truck in downtown Rusk on Thursday.

Storm team members enjoyed the sunshine during the victory celebration which included a ride through downtown Rusk in a fire truck. The Storm won the state tournament by defeating the Moody Raiders 12-4 on July 26 in Texarkana.
