Huntington woman dies in 1-vehicle rollover

A one-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Huntington woman at approximately 1:45 a.m. last Thursday.

DPS trooper Jimmy Dunklin said that Kellie Renee Blain, 26, died at the scene when she apparently lost control as she travelled northbound on U.S. Highway 69, just beyond the divided median at Seven Mile Hill between Rusk and Jacksonville.

Ms. Blain was unable to maintain control of her vehicle, which overturned and slid down a steep ravine.

Justice of the Peace judge Brenda Dominy pronounced Ms. Blain dead at approximately 3 a.m.
