Ruskite attends camp
Shelby Adams of Rusk recently attended the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. She was sponsored by Jim C. Netters of the local Lions Club.

The camp specializes in programs for children with special medical needs, such as Type I diabetes.

The Texas Lions Camp also dedicates special camping sessions to children ages seven-16 who have visual, hearing or physical disabilities.

Activities include arts and crafts, field sports, horseback riding, swimming, theater and overnight camping.

The camp is nonprofit and is funded by the Lions of Texas and private donations.

Children attend at no cost to themselves or their families.
