ARCHIE BURNELL DELANEY

Funeral for Archie Burnell Delaney, 74, of Jacksonville was at 10 a.m. Friday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dan Middleton officiating. Burial was in Jarratt Cemetery. Mr. Delaney died July 17. He was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Jacksonville. He was a retired timber buyer, a member of the Cove Springs United Methodist Church and the U.S. Army National Guard 49th Armored Division. Preceding him in death were his parents, Style Elmer and Pearl Emerson Delaney and three brothers, James, J.W. and Tony Delaney.

Survivors are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Christy Delaney of Fiston, Jerry and Teri Delaney of Navasota and Marcus Delaney of Gilmer; a daughter and son-in-law, Christi and PaulGest of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Laney, Colter, Cody, Colton and Lauren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Chase Delaney, Cody Delaney, Cole Delaney, Eric Trowbridge, Shawn Wilson, DeWayne Delaney and Ben Cooper.
