Coffee fetes bride-elect

Monika Marroquin, bride-elect of Allen Parrish, and Margaret Parrish, mother of the groom, greet guests at a recent coffee held in Rusk. Ms. Marroquin will marry Allen Parrish Aug. 11 in Houston.

Monika Marroquin, bride elect of Allen Parrish, was honored with a coffee June 30 at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall. More than 40 persons attended the event.

Ms. Marroquin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Marroquin of Austin and Genoveva Gomez- Marroquin of Houston.

The groom is the son of Buz and Margaret Parrish of Rusk. Hostesses for the coffee were Sissy Crysup, Beth Long, Terrie Gonzalez, Judy Wallace, Jerry Struhall and Leslie Hassell. The wedding will be at 1 p. m. Aug. 11 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land. The couple will reside in Houston after the wedding.
