Hassells observe anniversary

Edward and Gwendolyn Hassell

Edward and Gwendolyn Hassell of Rusk celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 7 with a reception at First Baptist Church.

Mr. Hassell married the former Gwendolyn Jones July 6, 1957, in Dialville. He retired from Brown & Root after 18 years, and then retired from his tire business after 18 years.

Mrs. Hassell is a homemaker and reared four children. They are members of Rusk First Baptist Church.

Their children are Keith and Sheila Hassell of Rusk, Janet and Cary Ranne of Baytown, Angela and Greg Ruark of Mustang, Okla. and Darryl and Lisa Hassell of Crandall. They have eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
