Members attend annual installation banquet, enjoy Mexican food

      The Rusk Lions Club met June 28 for the installation of new officers. The Mexican dinner was catered by Fran Birmingham. Ike Daniel offered the invocation; Jim Cromwell led the pledges to the flags and Tim Timmons led the singing.

Alto football tickets go on sale July 30
      Season football tickets for Alto High School football go on sale to the holders of last year's tickets on July 30. Only those who had season tickets last year may purchase until Aug. 10. The price for tickets is $37.50 for chair-style seats and $25 for benchstyle seats.

Rusk football tickets go on sale Aug. 13
      Season football tickets for Rusk Eagle football are currently being offered to last year's season ticket holders. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 13 to the general public. Home games for Rusk this year include Van on Sept. 7, Westwood on Oct. 5, Huntington on Oct. 26 and Crockett on Nov. 9.

Registration planned at River of Life School
      Fall registration at the River of Life School of Ministry in Rusk will be held from 4-7 p.m. July 30-Aug. 3. Morning classes are planned from 7:30 a.m.-12:05 p.m. Monday through Friday. New evening classes are from 6:15- 10:05 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Fall classes begin Aug. 6.
