Katie Massingill honored

Honored June 9 at a wedding shower was Katy Massingill center, bride-elect of Richard Geren. Standing at the refreshment table from left are Darla Massingill, aunt of the honoree; Sara Massingill, her mother; Emily Massingill, the honoree's cousin; Marelia Geren, Mr. Geren's mother; and Lynn Bennett, his sister.

A bridal shower honoring Katy Massingill, bride-elect of Richard Geren, was held Saturday June 9 at the home of Leslie Hassell.

Special guests were Sara Massingill, the honoree's mother and Marelia Geren mother of groom-to-be Richard Geren; Lynn Bennett, his sister; Darla Massingill, the honoree's aunt and Emily Massingill, the honoree's cousin.

Refreshments were served from the dining table appointed with silver and crystal serving pieces. A vase with green Hydrangeas, white stock & Eucalyptus adorned the table.

Chicken salad and cucumber sandwiches, chips, deli tray, spinach dip, fresh fruit, vegetable tray with dip, pound cake, carrot cake, chocolate dipped strawberries, mints, punch and coffee were served.

Hostesses were Trish Guess, Leslie Hassell, Vivian Vaught, Elizabeth Holcomb, Anita Ocker, Glenda Ross, Barbara Evans, Kay Gresham, Sherry Dover, Diann Norton, Lesa Jones, Karen Parsons, Sue Dyess, Kay Sitgreaves, Gloria Martin, Carlene Clayton, Donna Hill and Weida Woodruff.
