LIBRARY STUDY CLUB
New officers installed at salad luncheon
BY BETTY TOWNSEND

Members of the Rusk Library Study Club met May 8 at the First Presbyterian Church for their annual salad luncheon and installation of officers.

Lunch consisted of delicious salads and desserts prepared by the 13 members present. Carmen Dotson served as installing officer and the theme was "The Sands of Time." Mrs. Dotson stated that time is a gift from God and He has appointed a time for everything. Also life is lived in the context of time and everyone has the same amount. It is important to manage time wisely. As each new officer's name was called, a brief description of her duties was given and she was presented a small hourglass.

Installed as president for the coming year was Ollie Parrott; vice-president, Dollie Lofton; recording secretary, Boots Burfoot; treasurer, Marge Bruner; corresponding secretary, Melba Darrow; reporter, Betty Townsend; and parliamentarian, Opal Fitts.

Following an inspirational poem read by mrs. Dotson entitled "Time," the meeting was adjourned. Library Study Club meetings will resume in September.
