June 18-22

Monday: Sliced smoked ham, sweet potato patties, seasoned spinach, wheat bread, orange, milk

Tuesday: Barbecue pork riblet on bun, pinto beans, hot fruit compote, onion and pickle slices, red and green coleslaw, milk

Wednesday: Chicken Parmesan, butter pasta, buttered carrots, garlic bread, peaches and strawberries with topping, milk

Thursday: Pork roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, green peas with pimentos, wheat roll, ambrosia, milk

Friday: Oven fried chicken, garden blend rice, cream gravy, seasoned mustard greens, cornbread, fruited Jello, milk

Gardendale slates health

fair, blood drive

The Gardendale Rehab and Nursing Center will sponsor its annual health fair and blood drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26.

Stewart Regional Blood Center along with other local health care agencies will be available to answer questions.

Blood pressure and glucose monitoring will be available.

Vacation Bible school planned at Alto A. Frank

Smith United Methodist

A. Frank Smith United Methodist Church in Alto will "Take the Plunge! and Make a Splash with Jesus!" at this year's Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23.

is June 23

The annual Hendrick family reunion will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Campground Baptist Church, four miles west of Alto on Highway 294. A covered dish luncheon will be held at noon.

The annual business meeting will follow. James Hendrick will be in charge of the business session.
