TNT camp planned for June 11-14

Thespian "n Training, sponsored by the Cherokee Civic Theatre, is a program open to young people entering first through ninth grades. The camp will be held at the Cherokee Theater Monday through Thursday, June 11-14.

Through a variety of age-appropriate activities, they will learn all aspects of theatre arts, from on stage, backstage and offstage, while improving the skills they may already have.

Three theatrical companies will be formed, one each for grades 1-3, grades 4-6 and grades 7-9. TNT "camp" will run June 11-24, from 1-5 p.m. each weekday afternoon for grades 1-6 and 5:30-8:30 p.m. each weekday evening for grades 7-9.

There will be a Grand Finale Showcase on Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m. for grades 1-6; and 7 p.m. for grades 7-9.

TNT 2007 directors are Phyllis Johnson (grades 1-3); Jessica Breen-Ford (grades 4-6); and Castanya Elledge (grades 7-9).

They will offer a wide range of experiences working with and teaching young people, as well as personal and professional experience in the theatre arts.

TNT 2007 Executive Producer is Debra Petri. This year's TNT underwriters are Glenda and Ed Bruce, Black Bear Realty, Diki and Jerry Parker, Kelly and Judy Faye Garner, Sarai Johnson, Austin Bank, Chapman's Pharmacy, and the Ross Kids---P, E, and J.

The two-week camp fee is $25 for Patrons; $35 for nonpatrons.
