Lions Club elects officers

Lion Dan West, who is chairman of the sight committee, reported at the April 5 club meeting that the income from White Cane Day Support for the Blind amounted to $216.41. White Cane Day was held at Brookshire Brothers March 24. Workers were Bobbie Burch, Dan West, Charlie Burfoot, Jim Cromwell, Billy Watson, Ardys Brown and Alicia Oliver. Appreciation was expressed to those who made contributions for the event and old glasses. The old glasses help a lot of school children and also adults who have difficulty seeing. Ardys Brown, chairman of the nominating committee presented a report of new officers. They are Vic Whadford, president; Jeff Johnson, first vice-president; Dan West, second vice-president; Terri Brown, third vice-president; Bobbie Burch, secretary; Ann Brown, treasurer; Tim Timmons, tail twister; David O'Neal, lion tamer; Amy Derrington, director; Jim Cromwell, second director; Jerry Hassell, third director; Ike Daniel, membership; Billy Watson, reporter; and Jim Cromwell, resident agent. Evelyn Stewart and Ann Brown agreed to represent the club at the Gallatin Gopher Fest April 14.
