IRENE NORTHCUFF
Mrs. Northcutt died May 22. She was born June 30, 1917, in Mixon. She taught school for 32 years at Tecula, Mixon and Joe Wright Elementary in Jacksonville. She was a 30 year primary Sunday school teacher and a member of the Golden Jubilees and Retired Teachers Association. Preceding her in death were her husband of 35 years, W.B. Northcutt; three sisters, Tressie Pierce, Margie Henderson and Louisa Webb; and a brother, Loy Alexander. Survivors are a daughter, Becky Helms of Bullard; grandchildren, Julie Jo VanderPoel and J.J. and Charla VanderPoel; a great-grandchild, Chandler Grace VanderPoel; a brother, Wesley Alexander of Troup; a sister, Christine Maxwell of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Karen Coble. Pallbearers were J.J. VanderPoel, Chris Gibson, Joe Henry Henderson, John David Henderson, Jay Northcutt, DeWayne Brown and Leon Coble. |
