LEONARD L. WALL
Mr. Wall died May 22. He was born in Cherokee, Iowa, July 18, 1923, to Francis and Harry Wall. His family moved to Hughson, Calif. in 1926 then to Salinas in 1928. Mr. Wall served in the US Navy from 1942-45 on the destroyer, USS Fletcher, in the South Pacific and the Soloman Islands as a fireman. Following the war Mr. Wall worked as a mechanic in Salinas until moving to San Raphael in 1955. He moved back to Salinas in 1965 where he owned and operated his automotive garage until retirement. In 1993 he moved to Jacksonville. He was a member of the Jacksonville First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and served in Salinas and Jacksonville and as "Master of Dixie Lodge in Troup." Mr. Wall is survived by his wife, Mildred Wall of Jacksonville; two daughters, Sharon Schuyler and Shona Shows of Alamo, Calif.; granddaughter, Sabrina Nelson, Chicago, Ill.; step-children, John Prewitt and Jerry Lanier of Jacksonville, Kathlyn Cooper of Pittsburg, Milton Prewitt and Ronald Prewitt and numerous step-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Ainsworth, E.C. Blount, Kent Kirkpatrick, Jerald Pinson, Nathaniel Pinson and Josh Prewitt. Friday: Talapia Mexicana, fiesta hominy, zucchini and onions, tartar sauce, cornbread, apricots, milk Monday: Mushroom beef steak, scallop potatoes, brussels sprouts, wheat bread, fresh melon, milk Tuesday: Roast beef au jus, baked potato, spinach, margarine/sour cream, dinner roll, fruited Jello salad, milk Wednesday: Grilled oregano chicken, lima beans, stewed tomatoes, whole wheat bread, pear half with cottage cheese, milk Thursday: Spaghetti and meat sauce, Italian blend veggies, hot rosy pears, tossed salad/Italian dressing, garlic bread, milk Friday: Tuna salad sandwich, carrot raisin salad, macaroni salad, fresh fruit cup, milk |
