MARSHALL HOOD JACKSON

Funeral for Marshall Hood Jackson, 83, of Jacksonville was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Still Waters Memorial Gardens

Mr. Jackson died May 13. He was born Dec. 4, 1923, to George and Bess Jackson in Jacksonville. He graduated from Jacksonville High School, attended Lon Morris College before joining the Navy. After his discharge from the Navy he attended Texas A&M graduating with a BS degree in Engineering and a Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin. In 1950 he married Norma Hataway. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; Norma Hataway Jackson of Temple, three daughters and sons-in-law; Marsha and Sandy Bielstein of Rosenberg, Jan and Bill Walton of Conroe and Paula Cook of Katy; grandchildren, Mark Hamby, Ashley, Jennifer and Sabrina Walton, Trevor and Travis Cook, Chris and Sean Bielstein; and a great-grandchild, Skylar Bielstein.

Pallbearers were Mark Hamby, Trevor Cook, Travis Cook, Fred Jackson, Bill Walton, Bruce Johnson, Sandy Bielstein, Ashley Walton, Jennifer Walton and Sabrina Walton.
