DOROTHY BOBBITT DUKE

Funeral for Dorothy Bobbitt Duke, 76, of Alto, was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. R.W. (Bobby) King officiating. Burial was in Arnold Cemetery at Forest.

Mrs. Duke died May 16. She was born April 18, 1931, in Forest to Obidiah and Virginia Arnold Byers. She lived most of her life in Alto and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were three brothers and two sisters. Survivors are her husband, Victor Duke of Alto; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Robert Castillo of Porter; two brothers, Jack Byers of Forest and Morris Byers of Oakland; two sisters, Elizabeth Hearne of Alto and Virginia Baugh of League City; grandchildren, Maria Dunser, Mike Wood, James Wood and Marty Wood; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
