Memorial service honors fallen officers

Texas Department of Crimal Justice correctional instutional division hosted its eighth annual memorial service May 11 in the Skyview Castner Building gym.
Warden Todd Foxworth welcomed the correctional officers and guests attending the function.
The Skyview/Hodge REACT team presented the colors and the wreath. Chaplain Gary Tibodaux asked the audience to pause for a moment of silence to honor those who have given their lives in the line of duty. Major K.G. Cox lit the memorial candle and read a poem. The prison air horn was sounded in memory of the departed correctional officers.
Scott Lowery played "Amazing Grace" on the bag pipes. Roll call was read by Warden Richard Morris and special tribute given by Major Stuart Calhoun. Music was by Officer Randy Selman.
