Wells man inducted in earth society

Seth Hamilton was recently inducted into the Society of Sigma Gamma Epsilon on March 27, at Stephen F. Austin State University.

This is a national honor society for the earth sciences founded in 1935. The Society has objectives which include the scholastic and scientific advancement of its members, and the extension of relations of friendship and assistance among colleges, universities and scientific schools with recognized standings that are devoted to the advancement of Earth Sciences. Mr. Hamilton was elected treasurer.

He graduated as valedicto- rian at Wells ISD and is currently a junior at SFA. He will pursue his master's degree in environmental geology.

Mr. Hamilton is the son of Charles and Shirley Hamilton and the grandson of the late Jake and Carrie Hamilton of Alto.
