Greg James appointed to Angelina-Neches River board
and Louis Alan B r o n a u g h of Lufkin to the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors for GREG JAMES terms to expire Sept. 5, 2011. The board oversees construction, maintenance and operation of any and all works necessary for the purpose of controlling, storing and preserving water resources in the Neches River Basin. Mr. James is president and general manager of Greg James Country Motors. He is past chairman of Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation, Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful, and the City of Nacogdoches Planning Commission. He is a member of the Rusk Industrial Foundation, Nacogdoches Industrial Board and serves on the Executive Committee of the Rusk Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association, National Automobile Dealers Association and the Texas Economic Development Corporation. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr. Bronaugh is a retired optician and most recently worked as president of Bronaugh Independent Opticians. He served in the U.S. Navy and is chairman of the Texas Board of Health Advisory Council, fellow of the National Academy of Opticians, and former member of the Tyler Junior College Executive Committee. Mr. Bronaugh volunteers on the board of Goodwill Industries and the Boys and Girls Club of Lufkin. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston. Mr. James will replace James Raney of Nacogdoches and Mr. Bronaugh will replace Carl Ray Polk Jr. of Lufkin. Both terms are expiring. These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation. |
